Throughout my Master’s, I have engaged in a variety of both academic and extracurricular activities that have played a role in shaping my Professional Identity and Vision. Through courses aligned with my interests, semester-long projects, and extracurricular activities, I gained valuable insights, broadened my horizons, and connected with communities outside of the formal curriculum.

Each experience provided opportunities to apply skills, explore interests, and reflect on my role as a designer. Supported by deliverables, feedback, and reflections, these activities guided both my personal and professional growth, ultimately influencing how I shaped my final semesters in the Industrial Design program.

My Professional Identity as a people-driven designer aligns with my career aspirations for community development and the housing challenges facing society today. At the core of my identity are values like trust, empathy, and collaboration, which drive my user-centered design approach. These qualities position me to create meaningful experiences within communities, addressing societal challenges such as the housing crisis and the need for greater public participation in urban development.

My Vision is sharpened by recent trends that highlight the increasing importance of community-focused and participatory design in tackling complex issues like urbanization and sustainability. My ability to uncover hidden user needs, foster collaboration among stakeholders, and deliver creative solutions makes me well-suited to play a pivotal role in these spaces. As someone who thrives in multi-stakeholder environments, I aim to bridge the gap between municipalities, urban developers, and local communities, ensuring that design outcomes resonate with residents’ voices.

Current job market trends reflect a growing demand for designers who can combine technical knowledge with social and business insights. My strengths in user and society, creativity and aesthetics, and my developed understanding of business and entrepreneurship allow me to contribute holistically to design projects. At the same time, my curiosity for technological advancements ensures that I stay adaptable and forward-thinking in my work. For my future career, I aspire to channel these strengths in the field of social design to create solutions that foster connection, empower communities, and drive sustainable change.
